1.   Feb 15-17 Paddy Creek BackPack Roster: The current van roster is:  Sign up as soon as possible!
2.   Check the recycling bin assignments on the web at: http://www2.sluh.org/bioweb/scienceclub/resources/recycling.htm
3.   The dog show volunteers are (so far):  Rob Kayser, Bret Baer, Jon Tylka, Luke Hellwig, Pat Davis.  The Retriever dog show is April 4th and April 6th.
4.   The gray t-shirts will cost around $16-$18, 100% polyester, 3 colors, sizes small to XL, logo on front and text on back.  The designs were sent as attachments to the Crew Email Boxes.  Orders are coming in, and total to 10 so far.  Order before the deadline, late next week!

6.   Norm Birtley, our perennial co-leader that helps with leading backpacks, should be ready to go in February for the President's Day weekend backpack.  Check your calendars to see if you can go!

7.    General Information:

o     Science Club members must be enrolled in Venture Crew 2149.  To join the Venture Crew a student must  complete a venture crew application and pay the $10 charter fee (annual- renewable to March 31st) if the student is not already a scout; otherwise a scout is free.  Applications are available from Mr, Kuensting.

o     To attend backpacking trips, all students must attend the backpacking seminar, sign the Science Club first aid, equipment, conduct, and safety forms, and turn in a filled out and doubly-signed field trip permission form.  Students can turn in a single-sheet emergency information sheet FILLED OUT COMPLETELY to remain on file.  This will save paperwork time on future field trips since the emergency information sheet will already be on file and need not be filled out again.
